Visit from Vice-Rector of Adam Mickiewicz University — Toward Further Strengthening Collaboration
On July 8, Professor Rafał Witkowski, Vice-Rector of Adam Mickiewicz University in Poland—one of our partner institutions—and Professor Beata Bochorodycz, Director of the Institute of Oriental Studies and Head of the Japanese Studies Department, visited Okayama University.
The purpose of this visit was to discuss ways to further strengthen our collaboration. During the meeting, there was a lively exchange of ideas with Vice President Mitsuhiro Okayasu (International Education) and faculty members from the Institute for Liberal Arts Education and Global Studies, who are in charge of the EPOK programme.
Looking ahead, both universities confirmed that in addition to student exchange, they will explore ways to further strengthen research and faculty exchanges.
The Global Human Resources Development Institute aims to realise a university where Japanese and international students learn together, based on our selection for the “Support Project for Creating Social Impact through University Internationalisation” and our long-term internationalisation vision “Toward 2035.” In line with this, we will continue to deepen our collaboration with Adam Mickiewicz University by offering diverse international co-learning opportunities, including student exchanges and the acceptance of international students, thereby supporting students in gaining a global learning experience.
