NEWS

Za nami koniec wakacji i początek kolejnego roku akademickiego w konsorcjum EPICUR. W ostatnim tygodniu sierpnia przedstawicielki naszego uniwersytetu, Karolina Choczaj i Dominika Dąbrowska, brały udział we wspólnych warsztatach na Uniwersytecie Artystotelesa w Salonikach!

The EPICUR Research project line, which was launched at the beginning of 2021, is funded in the framework of the EU programme line Horizon 2020 „Science with and for Society“ [SwafS] and aims to develop a common research agenda for the eight EPICUR partner universities to improve and strengthen the interaction between science and society. EPICUR Research promotes Early Career Researchers in particular, driven by the vision of conducting research based on societal challenges. Inter-and transdisciplinary approaches and long-term cooperation on the three main topics of Sustainability ResearchMobility, Migration & Identiy and the Transformation of the Public Health System (Public Health in Transition) is helping to establish an EPICommunity.

The EPICUR team is pleased to be able to organise three EPICamps this year in the context of EPICUR Research; the first of them “Mobility, Migration, Multilingualism: Shaping European Identities and Languages Past and Present” organised by Freiburg/Poznán/Strasbourg will take place on October 15/16, 2021. EPICamps are virtual, interactive events aimed at Early Career Researchers from the EPICUR alliance in order to create a space for exchange, collaboration and academic matchmaking between scholars from different disciplines and research areas. Researchers from all – especially early – career stages, from all disciplines and from all partner institutions can participate.

Potential participants of the EPICamps should have a general interest in conducting interdisciplinary research and/or working in a transdisciplinary manner with non-university partners. You should have a proven interest in the topic of the EPICamps you wish to attend. However, no previous experience in the field and/or inter-and transdisciplinary work is required.

Based on the format of the barcamp/unconference, the program of each EPICamp will look different and open up opportunities to present and discuss research and projects in mini-thesis presentations, poster sessions, panel or group discussions, etc., but also space for ad-hoc meetings, one-on-one video chats, academic speed dating sessions and methodological exchange. Please check out our first Call for Participation [insert link] and follow us on twitter for regular updates on upcoming EPICamps regarding European Culture, Sustainability and more.

Prof. Rafał Witkowski. Microcredentials. Nowe drogi rozwoju

Workshop: „Eucor & EPICUR: What is happening in the field of Sustainability?"

Organised by Sofia Ganter & Stefanie Klose (University of Freiburg)

What do you – our participants – expect from the European University Alliances Eucor and EPICUR in terms of sustainability? Specifically: What, in your opinion, would be important in the context of teaching? What in other areas? The workshop on Eucor, EPICUR & Sustainability will address these questions and many more.

In addition, already existing ideas on research, teaching, transfer, practice and engagement will be presented and discussed. Our aim is to center the discussions around the student´s point of view in order to be able to provide the project teams with feedback and thus help shape the further implementation of Eucor and EPICUR in the field of sustainability.

Drodzy studenci EPICUR, potrzebujemy Waszej pomocy!

Zebrane dzięki Wam dane będą podstawą do promocji nauki języków obcych wśród przyszłych studentów EPICUR.

Spokojnie, wypełnienie ankiety zajmie tylko około 5-10 minut!

Bardzo dziękujęmy za cenną pomoc!

Międzynarodowe Dni Tolerancji 16-20.11.2020

The Faculty of English at Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznan, cordially invites everyone to participate in our seminar series entitled “Language of Empowerment” as part of the “International Week for Equality and Tolerance” between the 16th and 20th November 2020.

Through this event, inaugurated on the International Day for Tolerance, we aim to raise awareness of the dangers of discrimination and contribute to the global debate on values such as tolerance and equality, in accordance with the UNESCO proclamation that:
“Tolerance is respect, acceptance and appreciation of the rich diversity of our world's cultures, our forms of expression and ways of being human. It is fostered by knowledge, openness, communication, and freedom of thought, conscience and belief. Tolerance is harmony in difference. It is not only a moral duty, it is also a political and legal requirement. Tolerance, the virtue that makes peace possible, contributes to the replacement of the culture of war by a culture of peace." (UNESCO's 1995 Declaration of Principles on Tolerance).
The “Language of Empowerment” at the Faculty of English AMU will feature six 45-minute lectures delivered in English (Monday-Thursday) and Polish (Friday). All lectures will be streamed live via Facebook: www.facebook.com/wydzialanglistykiuam

EPICUR w programie HORYZONT 2020

Uniwersytet Europejski EPICUR z UAM w składzie, będzie realizował trzyletni projekt „Shaping European Society in Transition” w ramach programu Horyzont 2020.

Projekt realizowany będzie pod hasłem Be EPICurious!

Środki na realizację projektu pochodzić będą z programu Horyzont 2020 w obszarze Science with and for Society (SwafS - Nauka z udziałem społeczeństwa i dla społeczeństwa). Projekt został przygotowany przez wszystkie 8 uczelni wchodzących w skład konsorcjum.
